Jeff takes 2nd place @ Madera on Sept 19th

September 19th race at Madera was not what we were looking for as an outcome.

We found that Jeff had a pretty bad hop coming out of turn 2 in the first practice.

Wayne changed a few things, and it appeared better. Jeff qualified 4th quick.

We have been close to fast times all year, but somehow we managed to fall to fourth. Jeff dominated the Trophy dash, taking the checker ahead of Birges and Troy.

Then the Heat race. Jeff started on the inside 3rd row. The green was thrown and Jeff found himself being freight trained by the out side lane.

By the time Jeff got to move up, Troy and the others had already a sizable lead.

The heat finished Warf, Troy, Dalton, and Jeff.

The main Event was a Good race. Jeff started forth row outside. He made his way through traffic on the heels of Bobby Dalton.  Bobby was running really well till he used his tires up. Jeff took the lead for a good part of the race.

Jeff yanked Troy down the staightaways, but Troy managed to get by. It looked like Jeff was going to run away.

Jeff said the car wasn't getting off the corner the way it use to. Jeff took a very respectable 2nd place.

We still haven't gotten back to where we were before the crash of 3rd Madera race.

We are still leading the points race, and are looking for a win and a championship in Vegas November 1st.

Hope to see you in Vegas!
